photoAion was designed by Mark Bischof for Bucherer headquarters, Luzern/CH in 2007 – in this project he co-operated with Hanns-Martin Wagner, who co-ordinated operations and activities on location. The installation was registered as the world’s largest rolling ball clock in the Guinness Book of Records in 2008, and attracted more than 3 million visitors. In connection with the complete renovation at Bucherer’s, the clock has been dismantled in 2015.
AION was an exceptional project in mainly two respects:
– Contrary to his habitual way of working Mark designed the entire installation in advance.
– During this project Hanns-Martin and Mark worked together with several Swiss specialists.
